This Week's Tip
Leaving a company you've enjoyed working for is never easy. During this time it's important to have a smooth transition from your present job to your future position. To make sure this happens try the following:
- Compose a letter of resignation that's upbeat and positive.
- Offer to stay until a new hire is found, but set a time limit.
- Help train your replacement.
Believe it or not, companies are aware that employees change jobs every five years and your leaving may not really catch them off guard.
